The past couple of days have been a flurry of sadness, excitement, and a lot of work.
On Monday 02/14/2011 Chase Kloetzke the Manager of MUFON's Star Team shocked MUFON and resigned as The Star Team Manager. She basically stated that she felt that she needed to leave to pursue getting back to being herself and that she needed to spend more time with her husband.
I was made the interim Star Team Manager. On Thursday 02/17/2011 I received a call from Cliff Clift and was told that I was the new Star Team Manager. This came as a big surprise and my world has been unbelievable ever since. I now can tell you that this job is very demanding and I spend all day interacting with people I hardly knew before. I now understand why Chase said that she wanted to spend more time with her husband. The importance of this job is clear to a hand full of people and I now know it as well.
My day starts at about 03:am when I review the UFO reports that have come in over night. From there I review them all and write an assessment of them and suggest action to be taken. This report takes about 2- 4 hours to complete and then it is sent out to all that are effected by them. I then start working the the daily activities and a normal day finds me still working on things until I go to bed at night.
I am so excited to be part of this and I will say that there are a lot of people working behind the scenes to make what we do a lot better. MUFON is moving forward at a very fast pace and there will be some exciting news in the up coming months.
Keep watching the skies there is a lot going on!
